Miam! Does it ring a bell?
Any dessert person in Delhi would raise their hands to this question.
Miam opened in June 2015 and it has been quite a year for Bani Nanda! She aims to popularize traditional French Pâtisserie and focuses on entremets and macarons. She loves to play with local flavors from her exotic travels and brings a unique twist to her baking with ingredients like Matcha, Dragon Fruit, Buddhas Hand etc.
Bani Nanda’s culinary journey began in 2011 while she was completing her undergrad degree in physics. She started interning at reputed hotels in Delhi like of Leela Chanakyapuri, the Oberoi and Hyatt and developed an interest in the culinary arts. Her mom, Charu Nanda has been a home baker for five years now and has her line called ‘Charu Nanda’s home baked cakes’.
She and her mom share a very special bond over food and baking. Bani has fond memories of eating cake batter and then being yelled at! She can vouch that her mom makes the best pound cake in the world.
When KitchenAid asked her for this amazing recipe, her response was, the recipe is a family secret! After unsuccessful attempts, we asked her why is this recipe so special? To which she said: It’s foolproof and very easy.
