Every New Year most of us make resolutions to better our health. I have taken it more seriously this time and sticking to a healthier diet. The tastier I make my diet, the longer the chances of sticking to it. Early morning smoothies are something that I have introduced into my diet. It not only keeps me full but helps in detoxing.
I buy everything I need to put in the smoothie once a week and make packets and freeze them. This makes my life easier and I am sorted for a week. Every morning I just need to blend it.
Time: 15 – 20 minutes Serves: 2
– Spinach: 2 cups
– Mint leaves: 1/2 cup
– Broccoli: 1/2 cup
– Green Apple: 1/2
– Kiwi: 1 no.
– Coconut Water: 1 cup
– Almonds (Soaked and Peeled): 4 to 5
– Lemon Juice: 1 teaspoon
– Put all the ingredients into the pitcher of the Cordless Hand Blender and blend it until smooth. Have it without straining it.
Experiment with the flavors and have fun!!
Instead of Spinach, you can use Lettuce or Amaranth leaves.
Instead of Mint you can use Basil, Coriander, Curry leaves
Instead of Broccoli you can use Celery or Bottle Gourd
Instead of Green Apple and Kiwi, you can use seasonal fruits like Pineapple, Mango, Berries etc
Instead of Coconut Water, you can use Almond Milk or any Nut milk
