Layered Mango Almond Meringue Cake

By: KitchenAid India

Mango and cream makes for great pairing. Here’s a simple sponge with some added fat to keep it moist. I use clarified butter as I find it works really well here and is a pantry staple. The KitchenAid Stand Mixer is a boon while making sponges, since it keeps your hands free to line the tins etc. I love the size of the bowl since it allows a lot of room to gently mix in the flour etc.

Ice Cream and Oreo Shake party for kids: Behind the scenes

By: Tarika Singh

I’ve had plenty of hands-on experience doing cooking and baking workshops, but I had never done one with kids. So when the folks at KitchenAid India reached out asking if I’d like to do a demo for kids, showing them how to make Oreo Milkshakes using the KitchenAid Diamond Blender and freshly churned ice cream in the KitchenAid Ice Cream Maker Attachment, I was excited and also a bit anxious. Watermelon jam!!! Yes you heard it right, watermelon jam. Not something that is very common. One day I got home a watermelon that wasn’t sweet. I had already made granitas and smoothies and didn’t want to repeat it and hence ended up making jam. But it turned out so good that now I get watermelon just to make jam. Try it out and you will know what I am talking about.

WATERMELON GRANITA

By: KitchenAid India

I don’t know about you, but I crave ice cream ALL THE TIME in the summer! Crazy, right? It’s an obsession that I have to keep under check, but honestly, this relentless summer gets the better of me. While I’m not really one to fall for the concept of a ‘healthy dessert’ I will say that a fruit-based granita comes close to being a healthier alternative.
