GREEK SPIRALIZER SALAD

By: Deeba Rajpal

Once you get the hang of the spiralizer, you are going to want to get all your vegetables in a twirl, quite literally. It’s really addictive and such a pretty way to serve salads. Involve kids in the making as well. Yet first, a little warning. Read the booklet maybe watch a video online to get a hang of things. Keep an extra cucumber or two for a dry run. Once you figure it out, salads will never be the same again. I loved the way this one turned out, or rather twirled out. The flavor combination was great and it looked so pretty.

MASALA PHULKA

By: Farrukh Aziz

As kids, we all are fussy about food at one or the other period of our childhood days. I still remember my mother trying out various ways to get me enjoy my meals. By far, the best food I have tasted is my mother’s food and the same echoes as a compliment from my husband and children too. Even today I wonder, when the food is and always was so good, what was all the fuss I created about. Looking at her creating so many different types of delicacies and her skill to twist a simple recipe to bring out a completely different recipe has been the inspiration to me then and now. My journey of cooking started when I was lured by the round, thin and a puffed up phulkas my mom used to make. I was amazed to see how she can get the perfect round shaped phulkas and puffed up fully. The twist here was to make a flavorful phulka by adding a dash of spices to it. Here I would like to share what I have learnt from her and the recipe goes as below.
